About The Position

The Sewing Associate is responsible for assembling, sewing, and preparing products to meet customer specifications and quality standards. This role requires working with a variety of materials, tools, and equipment, including industrial sewing machines, to complete production orders efficiently and accurately. This role is primarily focused on sewing windscreen, with occasional assembly work as needed. We’re looking for someone dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.

• Experience with vinyl, leather or upholstery materials

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders, measurements, and product specifications
• Operate industrial sewing machines to sew windscreen and finish products using materials such as vinyl
• Finish windscreens by installing grommets around the perimeter using a grommet machine
• Position and secure parts using templates and measurements
• Inspect completed products to ensure quality standards are met and identify any defects
• Troubleshoot and resolve production or sewing issues; communicate with supervisors when assistance is needed
• Pick, pull, load, unload, store, and package materials and finished goods
• Maintain awareness of inventory levels and report shortages
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times
