About The Position
Perform industrial sewing tasks related to industrial filter cloth manufacturing. Perform general labor tasks within department as required.
Requirements
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required, which are normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and understand instruction detail written and communicated in English.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds required.
Nice To Haves
- Prior industrial sewing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform all tasks pertaining to all facets of set-up and operation of industrial sewing machines, including sewing material using Industrial Sewing Machines (Ropes & Velcro).
- Sew to production sample, follow product guides, and observe stitching to detect defects.
- Apply Latex to cloths per specifications.
- Cut & Fuse ropes.
- Operate Small & Large Grommet machines.
- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations and maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
- Update ERP system with job information (punch in and out of jobs accurately and timely).
- Promote and contribute to a continuous improvement culture.
- Other duties as assigned.
