About The Position

The Sewer creates boat and seat covers using industrial sewing machines and specified patterns for fiberglass and aluminum boat production. The role also sews covers for After-Market Parts, prepares and inspects materials, and performs other duties as assigned. Work is performed under general supervision using established procedures and innovation, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and recommendations on work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to sew efficiently.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Ability to work in a team setting or independently.
• Ability to understand processes and instructions.
• Ability to read tape measurements.
• Ability to read and follow standard operating processes.
• Ability to cross-train.
• Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

• Sew boat and seat covers for the production line.
• Sew boat and seat covers for After-Market Parts.
• Prepare and inspect materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain the machine and work area through basic maintenance and housekeeping.
