About The Position

The Setup Operator is primarily responsible for the setting up of designated machines, tools, and work cells in an approved manner that ensures safe operation (in accordance with OSHA regulations) and the production of a quality product within specifications per the standard approved processing parameters. Shifts Available: 2nd Shift - Monday - Friday 3:15pm - 11:45pm; overtime as required. Starting wage: $20.00/hour +1.00 2nd shift differential Training will be required on 1st shift hours for 1-3 weeks.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED,)
  • one to three years of related experience and/ or training, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • This position requires forklift certification (training and certification can be provided)
  • On the job training may be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Tear down and setup of injection shaft machine.
  • Setup and teardown of tablet press according to work instructions for multiple job processes.
  • Occasionally need to tear down and re- setup during run to keep thickness and weight.
  • Turn on gas lines and set requirements for the process. Record settings and monitor Kiln.
  • Work with Supervisors and Leads on release of work orders.
  • When done pressing parts, they need to be placed into a sagger (2000 parts per). Each sagger needs to be packed in a specific order making sure to have sand packed between all capacitors.
  • Check all tablet press tooling for cracks and sharpness of punches and dies.
  • Remove and replace 3 different sets of tooling for tablet press.
  • Monitor Temperatures of all ovens and Kiln and notify Maintenance if there are any changes.
  • Check and maintain temperature and quality of solder in silver solder pot, replace when necessary.
