Settlements Analyst

About The Position

The Settlements Analyst role offers the opportunity to develop deep knowledge of settlements while supporting Janney financial professionals in its branches. The successful candidate will move smoothly between detail-oriented work and client service, take initiative on small projects, and identify and implement process improvements. The role also involves collaborating with operations teams and maintaining effective working relationships with financial advisors, internal contacts, and outside vendors.

Requirements

Ability to prioritize and execute duties quickly and accurately within tight timeframes.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong initiative and time management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines.
Effective team player who works well under pressure and interacts appropriately with others.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in operations or the financial industry.

Nice To Haves

One to two years of related experience in Settlement Operations.
Knowledge of or experience using SQL or RPA.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional support to Janney branches.
Research and analyze data.
Perform reconciliation functions.
Correspond with Financial Advisors, internal contacts, and outside vendors.
Collaborate with other operations teams to resolve issues.
Work with teammates to balance workload.
Draft and maintain policies and procedures as needed.
Lead and participate in small projects within and outside the team.
Design, test, and implement system enhancements to improve workflow and the overall client experience.
