The Settlement Negotiator is responsible for analyzing case values, negotiating settlements directly with insurance carriers, defense counsel, or third-party administrators. This role involves evaluating medical records, bills, policy limits, and liability to develop strong demand arguments and counteroffers. The negotiator will present case value recommendations to attorneys and clients, ensuring settlements are in the best interest of the client and firm. Additionally, the position requires providing clients with detailed updates, addressing their questions, and obtaining necessary approvals. Collaboration with Case Managers, Attorneys, the Liens and Medical Records Department, and accounting/disbursement teams is crucial for case coordination and accurate documentation. The role also involves maintaining accurate records in the firm’s case management system and preparing all settlement-related documentation.
