About The Position

The Set-up Technician is responsible for correctly and completely changing blow molding machines and associated equipment over to the next scheduled production requirement. The physical environment requires the employee to work in a manufacturing and office environment. The employee must have the ability to wear personal protective equipment.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • General Computer Skills (Microsoft Office, Enterprise Requirements Planning System)
  • Fork Truck Operator Certified
  • Lock Out, Tag Out Certified
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up work cells to be production ready by changing machine head tooling, removing and installing molds correctly and safely, and ensuring all other necessary items for production are set up correctly in the cell.
  • Recommend revised methods of operation, material handling, equipment layout, or other changes to increase production efficiency and quality.
  • Work in conjunction with Engineering, Production, and Quality to produce parts that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Recommend modification to existing production standards to achieve optimum quality within the limits of equipment capabilities.
  • Support Production by trouble shooting machine processing and functionality.
  • Assist Maintenance in the repair and upkeep of blow molding machines and equipment.
