The Set Up/Tear Down Supervisor is responsible for leading, supervising, and coordinating the day-to-day activities of employees engaged in the operations department, specifically focusing on the setup, teardown, and conversions of the facility. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1-2 years of custodial or operational experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years supervisory experience preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to read, write, hear, and speak English.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to handle multiple tasks at a time in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on event schedules.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Valid Driver’s license is required.
  • Ability to pass an acceptable background check and obtain forklift certification.
  • Regular, reliable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Operations staff assigned to event setups, teardowns, custodial services, and facility support.
  • Plan, assign, and monitor work assignments to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Coordinate venue setups based on event orders, diagrams, and equipment requirements.
  • Oversee cleaning operations before, during, and after events, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, window cleaning, trash removal, and general facility upkeep.
  • Enforce all company safety policies, including proper chemical handling and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) compliance.
  • Ensure all equipment is operated safely, properly maintained, and stored appropriately.
  • Submit maintenance work orders for repairs, damaged equipment, or facility issues.
  • Collaborate with other department supervisors to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Adjust staffing assignments and work priorities to meet changing operational and event demands.
  • Assist with facility maintenance, snow removal, and other operational projects as assigned.
  • Perform hands-on operational duties alongside team members when necessary to meet event deadlines and operational needs.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Legends Global’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
