About The Position

The Pfister Hotel is seeking a Banquet Set-up Supervisor to join their team. This role involves supervising and coordinating banquet setup staff to ensure event spaces are arranged according to client specifications, contracts, and hotel quality standards. The supervisor will oversee the setup, breakdown, and turnover of banquet rooms, including tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, linens, and event equipment. Additionally, they will maintain inventory and organization of banquet equipment, storage areas, and linen supplies, ensuring facilities remain clean, safe, and event-ready. The position requires inspecting event setups for accuracy and quality, addressing operational issues, and communicating maintenance or equipment concerns to management. Collaboration with banquet, catering, and hotel teams is essential to ensure seamless execution of meetings, weddings, and special events, supporting exceptional guest experiences.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and safely move heavy equipment, including tables, chairs, staging, carts, and dance floor components.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring quality event execution.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying event schedules.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, push, and pull for extended periods while maintaining a safe and guest-focused work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior hospitality, banquet, event setup, or supervisory experience preferred, with the ability to lead and coordinate a team in a fast-paced environment.
