About The Position

Join our Lodging team for post-event teardown to dismantle accommodations, pack equipment, and restore the lodging zone after a festival. These full-time, temporary positions will work from ASAP until September 4th (or later depending on completion of work) on the festival site near Salmo, BC. The role involves dismantling lodging infrastructure, packing and organizing equipment and supplies, restoring lodging areas, and ensuring all materials are properly accounted for and stored. The team plays an important role in returning the lodging zone to its pre-event condition and preparing equipment for future use. Team members must be available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and extended shifts as required.

Requirements

  • Experience being part of a team and working toward a common goal.
  • Relatively fit and healthy and able to lift up to 50 pounds (will have to walk long distances on farm).
  • Ability to work efficiently with a team.
  • Take direction well.
  • Flexible and able to respond to changes in working conditions.
  • Comfortable working early mornings and outdoors in potentially unfavorable weather while maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Patient performing repetitive tasks.
  • Maintain awareness of the environment, sense of responsibility for fellow crew members as well as company image.
  • Passionate about delivering safe and inclusive events.
  • Ability to work in a culturally diverse work space without personal judgments or bias.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience setting up camping equipment is an asset.
  • Landscaping is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in moving all equipment within the Lodging area (tents, air mattresses, etc.).
  • Keep the area clean and remove all garbage.
  • Tear down tents, air mattresses, and other amenities, ensuring items are clean or are packaged to be cleaned.
  • Assist with landscaping duties.
  • Assist with any minor construction to be completed.
  • Inventory leftover supplies and equipment, keeping neat and accurate records.
  • Ensure hours worked are documented, signing in and out with your Supervisor.
  • Attend daily tailgate meetings with your supervisor at the beginning of your shift.
  • Assess equipment and report any faulty or damaged equipment to the Lodging Manager or Supervisor.
  • Acquire necessary equipment to accomplish tasks.
  • Scrutinize systems for flaws and areas to improve efficiency.
  • Report any discrepancies, potential issues or hazards to the Supervisor immediately, assist in remedy of the situation.
  • Refines processes and keeps learning best practices.
  • Perform additional tasks as requested.
