About The Position

The Department of Sociology/College of Arts & Science invites applications for a Sessional Lecturer to teach specific sociology courses during the 2026-2027 Regular Session. The courses offered are SOC 111.3 (Term One) and SOC 112.3 (Term Two), both of which will be delivered in-person as lectures in Prince Albert, SK. The position requires a minimum of an M.A. degree in Sociology, with a Ph.D. and relevant teaching experience being preferred. A valid driver's license is necessary for any off-campus courses. Appointment periods include additional days for preparation and marking. Courses are subject to cancellation due to low enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Teach SOC 111.3 (Fdns in Sociology: Society, Structure, Process) during Term One (September to December, 2026).
• Teach SOC 112.3 (Fdns in Sociology: Social Construction of Everyday Life) during Term Two (January to April, 2027).
• Prepare and mark course materials.
• Potentially teach off-campus courses, requiring a valid driver's license.
