About The Position

The School for the Arts (Music) invites applications for Sessional Lecturers to teach various music studio courses during the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 sessions. These positions involve teaching applied studio lessons for instruments such as Bass Clarinet, Cello, Flute, and Oboe. The courses are scheduled for Term One (September to December) and Term Two (January to April). Specific course details, including numbers, sections, and CRNs, are provided for each offering. The delivery mode for all listed courses is Applied Studio Lessons, with schedules and enrollment limits to be determined (TBD). All positions are located in Saskatoon.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an M.Mus. degree or equivalent in professional and teaching experiences.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for any off-campus courses.

Responsibilities

  • Teach MUAP 143.3 (26) Bass Clarinet Studio I during Term One (September to December).
  • Teach MUAP 343.3 (44) Cello Studio V Performance during Term One (September to December).
  • Teach MUAP 243.3 (23) Flute Studio III and MUAP 333.3 (23) Flute Studio V Non-Performance during Term One (September to December).
  • Teach MUAP 143.3 (27) Oboe Studio I during Term One (September to December).
  • Teach MUAP 145.3 (26) Bass Clarinet II during Term Two (January to April).
  • Teach MUAP 345.3 (44) Cello Studio VI Performance during Term Two (January to April).
  • Teach MUAP 245.3 (23) Flute Studio IV and MUAP 335.3 (23) Flute Studio VI Non-Performance during Term Two (January to April).
  • Teach MUAP 145.3 (27) Oboe Studio II during Term Two (January to April).
  • Prepare and mark student work.
  • Potentially teach off-campus courses if a valid driver's license is held.
