About The Position
The Department of Biology is seeking Sessional Lecturers to teach specific Biology courses during the 2026-2027 Regular Session at the Prince Albert location. The courses include BIOL 120.3 (The Nature of Life) in Term One and Term Two, and BIOL 121.3 (Diversity of Life) and BIOL 224.3 (Animal Body Systems) in Term Two. These positions involve lecture delivery, with specific schedules and enrollment limits for each course. Appointment periods include additional days for preparation and marking.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in Biology or a related subject.
- Experience in cell biology, genetics, molecular and evolutionary processes (for BIOL 120 and BIOL 121).
- Experience in animal physiology or a related subject (for BIOL 224).
- A valid driver’s license is required for any off-campus courses.
Nice To Haves
- Ph.D. and teaching experience (for BIOL 120 and BIOL 121).
- Ph.D. in Biology or a related subject and/or teaching experience in animal physiology (for BIOL 224).
Responsibilities
- Teach BIOL 120.3 (C15) The Nature of Life during Term One (September to December).
- Teach BIOL 120.3 (C16) The Nature of Life during Term Two (January to April).
- Teach BIOL 121.3 (C16) Diversity of Life during Term Two (January to April).
- Teach BIOL 224.3 (C16) Animal Body Systems during Term Two (January to April).
- Prepare and mark course materials.
- Potentially conduct off-campus courses, requiring a valid driver's license.
