About The Position
This course covers most of the knowledge areas of the Project Management Institute: integration, scope, cost, time, risk, human resources, procurement and communications management. We take a practical, applied approach, with the “PMBOK Guide” textbook, in-class exercises, and a team paper on “lessons learned” from an actual project. This is a completely asynchronous online course. Estimated Enrolment: Up to 70-100 students. Estimated TA support: TBA. Class schedule: One 3-hour lecture per week.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years project management experience in the area of Project Management
- Experience in leading engineering projects
- PMP certification
- Experience using Microsoft Project
- Knowledge of and experience in teaching the concepts: Integration Management, Stakeholder Management, Scope Management, Time Management, Cost Management, Communications Management, Procurement Management, Risk Management, and Human Resource Management
- Skills in teaching students techniques which work on increasing value to organizations and the marketplace
- Strong record of presenting lectures
- Ability to effectively translate presentation skills into an online format
- Ability to administer an online course in an effective manner
- Ability to explain concepts clearly
- Must have taught APS1001 or similar project management course

Responsibilities
- Delivers lectures for online delivery
- Prepare midterm quiz
