About The Position

This position is for a Sessional Lecturer to teach MGSC01H3 Strategic Management I at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC). The course examines business mission, evaluates external and industry environments, identifies sources of competitive advantage and value creation, and analyzes the strategies of active Canadian companies. The estimated course enrolment is 40 students. The lecture section is scheduled for Wednesdays from 1 pm to 3 pm. The term for this position is from September 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026, with course running from September 8, 2026, to December 8, 2026, and the exam period from December 10, 2026, to December 22, 2026. All positions involve the completion of all course grading, and availability throughout the exam period is required.

Requirements

  • Completion of a relevant professional or graduate degree
  • Demonstrated teaching excellence
  • Currency in and mastery of subject area
  • At least three years’ experience in a private-sector role dealing with business issues
  • Previous experience in teaching a similar course at undergraduate (university) level

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and delivery of course content
  • Development, administration, and marking of assignments, tests, and exams
