About The Position

The College of Pharmacy and Nutrition is seeking a Sessional Lecturer to teach PHAR 226.3 Foundational Sciences 5 Pharmacokinetics and Biopharmaceutics during the 2025-2026 Fall Term. This in-person lecture course is scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 PM to 4:20 PM, with an expected enrollment limit of 90 students. The course focuses on foundational pharmacokinetic principles, including drug absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion, and their influence on therapeutic outcomes. Students will learn to interpret pharmacokinetic concepts and apply them to solve clinical cases and therapeutic problems.

Requirements

  • Research or clinical experience in pharmacokinetics.
  • Current eligibility to work on the University of Saskatchewan campus.

  • Undergraduate degree in Pharmacy.
  • Previous teaching experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teach PHAR 226.3 Foundational Sciences 5 Pharmacokinetics and Biopharmaceutics during the 2025-2026 Fall Term.
  • Explain foundational pharmacokinetic principles governing the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of drugs.
  • Ensure students understand the influence of routes of administration, dose regimen and therapeutic window on therapeutic outcomes.
  • Guide students to interpret pharmacokinetic concepts and apply principles taught to illustrate solutions and resolution to clinical cases and therapeutic problems.
