About The Position

The Department of Human Resources and Organizational Behaviour in the Edwards School of Business invites applications for a Sessional Lecturer to teach COMM 105, Introduction to Organizational Behaviour, during the 2026-2027 Regular session at the Prince Albert Campus. This course introduces concepts and tools to understand behavior and enhance effectiveness in organizations at individual, group, and organization-wide levels. Topics include attitudes, values, ethics, motivation, rewards, leadership, communication, and change, with an applied foundation for work group effectiveness. The course is scheduled for Thursdays from 4:00 pm to 6:50 pm during the Fall term (September to December).

Requirements

  • A graduate or professional degree, or professional certification, in a field relevant to the course.
  • Relevant professional experience and ongoing professional engagement clearly linked to the field in which the candidate is expected to teach.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office 365 tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for any off-campus courses.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous teaching experience in a post-secondary environment is an asset.
  • A CPHR designation is an asset.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and presenting course material on the scheduled days and times.
  • Creating a syllabus and assessments (e.g., assignments, exams).
  • Grading student assessments and providing feedback.
  • Responding to student inquiries before and after class.
  • Adhering to the academic policies and procedures at the Edwards School of Business and the University of Saskatchewan.
