About The Position

This position is for a Sessional Lecturer to teach VIS220H1S: Painting and the Subject during the Winter 2027 semester. The course investigates representation and abstraction through themes drawn from personal, social, and cultural sources. The estimated course enrollment is 25 students, with no estimated TA support. The appointment dates are from January 1, 2027, to April 30, 2027.

Requirements

  • MA or MFA (or equivalent graduate degree) required
  • Previous teaching experience
  • Strong exhibition history
  • Currently exhibiting artist with a painting-based practice
  • Applicants may be asked to supply references
