About The Position
This is a hands-on course that deals with technical and theoretical issues of contemporary painting. The act of painting and the relevance of painting are stressed through both historical and current issues. The appointment is for the Winter semester, from January 1, 2027, to April 30, 2027.
Requirements
- MA or MFA (or equivalent graduate degree) required
- Previous teaching experience
- Strong exhibition history
- Currently exhibiting artist
- Applicants may be asked to supply references

Responsibilities
- Preparation and delivery of course material
- Managing digital teaching materials and platform
- Supervision of teaching assistants
- Preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations and deferred final examinations
- Marking of student work
- Submission of grades
- Dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions
- Student contact hours
