About The Position

This Sessional Lecturer position is for Course Code: KPE434H: Advanced Adapted Physical Activity. The course builds from concepts and theories discussed in KPE334H1, providing students with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to build instructional and leadership skills. This includes facilitating exercise and sport programs and assessments for people with varied abilities across all age groups and environments. Students will engage in active, hands-on learning through case studies, assignments, readings, and field experience. The estimated course enrolment is 30 students, and the appointment percentage is 0.5 FCE.

Requirements

  • PhD preferred in a relevant area, or combination of relevant expertise and experience

Responsibilities

  • Design and teach a university credit course
  • Prepare and deliver course content
  • Develop, administer, and mark assignments, tests, and exams
  • Calculate and submit grades
  • Hold regular office hours
