About The Position
This elective course, LAN9901HS: Landscape Architecture Topics: Design, is open to MLA, MARC, and MUD students and focuses on contemporary landscape architectural design. The course code is subject to change. There is one position available with an estimated enrollment of 15 students and no estimated TA support. The class schedule is Thursdays from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The sessional appointment dates are from January 1, 2027, to April 30, 2027. Salary rates are provided per half-course, inclusive of vacation, with different rates for Sessional Lecturer I, I Long Term, II, II Long Term, III, and III Long Term. The collective agreement rates will prevail if they differ from the posting.
Requirements
- Master of Landscape Architecture
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in landscape architectural design
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience teaching graduate landscape courses is desirable
Responsibilities
- Preparation and delivery of course material
- Managing digital teaching materials
- Supervision of teaching assistants
- Preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations and deferred final examinations
- Marking of student work
- Submission of grades
- Dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions
- Student contact hours
