About The Position

Course number and title: VIS310H1F – Imagining the Political. Studio projects complemented by seminars and readings examine plastic, social, and gender politics in contemporary visual art. Estimated course enrolment: 20 students. Sessional dates of appointment: September 1, 2026 - December 31, 2026.

Requirements

  • MA or MFA (or equivalent graduate degree) required
  • previous teaching experience
  • Strong exhibition history
  • currently exhibiting artist showing digital media, computational, and/or artist’s moving image art
  • Applicants may be asked to supply references

  • Preparation and delivery of course material
  • managing digital teaching materials
  • supervision of teaching assistants
  • preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations and deferred final examinations
