About The Position

The Department of Human Resources and Organizational Behaviour in the Edwards School of Business invites applications for Sessional Lecturers to teach various courses during the 2026-2027 Regular Session. The courses include COMM 304.3 (Introduction to Business Law) in the Fall 2026 session, COMM 384.3 (Workplace Health and Safety) in the Fall 2026 session, and COMM 387.3 (Labour Law) in the Winter 2027 session. These are lecture-based courses with specific schedules and enrollment limits, located in Saskatoon.

Requirements

  • A graduate or professional degree, or professional certification, in a field relevant to the course
  • Relevant professional experience and ongoing professional engagement clearly linked to the field in which the candidate is expected to teach
  • Display a high level of professionalism.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office 365 tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for any off-campus courses.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous teaching experience in a post-secondary environment is an asset
  • A CPHR designation is an asset
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and presenting course material on the scheduled days and times.
  • Creating a syllabus and assessments (e.g., assignments, exams).
  • Grading student assessments and providing feedback.
  • Responding to student inquiries before and after class.
  • Adhering to the academic policies and procedures at the Edwards School of Business and the University of Saskatchewan.
