About The Position

This course is an introduction to comparative environmental policy. The focus of the course will be comparing different countries' policies on climate change, biodiversity, water, and pollution. Larger themes related to sustainable development and environmental justice will be covered in detail. The mode of instruction for this course is online synchronous.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or Ph.D. candidate in Environmental Management or related field with specific expertise in the course subject content.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience teaching a similar course
  • Evidence of teaching excellence in the subjects covered in the course

Responsibilities

  • All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content
  • Development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams
  • Calculation and submission of grades
  • Holding regular office hours
  • Supervising TAs assigned to course
  • Order all necessary readings

Benefits

  • In accordance with the current CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement, rate of pay is $9,997.48 for a Half (F/S) course, $19,994.95 for a full (Y) course. All pay rates are inclusive of vacation pay.
