About The Position

An introduction to human physiology covering the nervous system, skeletal muscles, hormones, and the immune systems in both healthy and diseased states. This is a sessional lecturer position for BIOC32H3F Human Physiology: Neuromuscular, Immune, and Reproductive Systems at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC). All duties are performed in person at the UTSC campus, with no changes to in-person course delivery permitted. There are no hybrid options for lectures, tutorials, laboratories, or exams in the Department of Biological Sciences at UTSC.

Requirements

  • Near completion of their Ph.D.
  • Experience in teaching topics in human physiology as described in the calendar description

Nice To Haves

  • Previous teaching experience in Human Physiology, specifically Neuromuscular, Immune and Reproductive Systems at the 3rd year or higher level preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and delivery of course materials including lectures
  • Guided student discussions
  • Designing assignments and other assessments (such as exams)
  • Marking/grading

  • Miscellaneous clerical tasks
