About The Position

This position is for a Sessional Lecturer to teach VIS312H1F: Collage. This course is an investigation of historical and contemporary art incorporating collage as a central methodology. The evolution of collage as a means of expression is explored through studio-based projects and lectures. The estimated course enrolment is 25 students, and there is one position available. The sessional dates of appointment are from September 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026. This course is equivalent to 0.5FCE.

Requirements

  • MA or MFA (or equivalent graduate degree) required
  • Previous teaching experience
  • Strong exhibition history
  • Currently exhibiting artist with a collage-based practice
  • Applicants may be asked to supply references

  • Preparation and delivery of course material
  • Managing digital teaching materials
  • Supervision of teaching assistants
  • Preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations and deferred final examinations

  • Student contact hours
  • Some management of printmaking studio and supplies
