About The Position

The School for the Arts (Music) is seeking to hire a Sessional Lecturer to teach various courses during the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 sessions. This role involves teaching a range of music courses, including lectures, applied studio lessons, and performance ensembles. The position is located in Saskatoon and is part of the CUPE 3287 employment group.

Requirements

Minimum of a master’s degree in music or music education for EMUS 337.3.
Minimum of a master’s degree in music education or conducting for EMUS 448.3/848.3.
Minimum of an M.Mus. degree or equivalent in professional and teaching experiences for MUAP 143.3, MUAP 243.3, MUAP 333.3, MUAP 145.3, MUAP 245.3, MUAP 335.3.
Minimum of a master’s degree in musicology for MUAP 833.3 and MUS 155.3.
Minimum of a master’s degree in music for MUS 220.2 and MUS 200.3.
Minimum of a master’s degree in conducting or music education for MUS 225.3.
Minimum of a master’s degree in music theory or a related field for MUS 233.3.
Minimum of an M.Mus. degree for MUAP 202.1/812.1, MUAP 203.1/813.1, MUAP 212.1/819.1, MUAP 201.1/811.1.
A valid driver’s license is required for any off-campus courses.

Teach Clarinet Studio courses (MUAP 143.3, MUAP 243.3, MUAP 145.3) in Fall 2026 and Winter 2027.
Teach Flute Studio courses (MUAP 243.3, MUAP 333.3, MUAP 245.3, MUAP 335.3) in Fall 2026 and Winter 2027.
Teach Oboe Studio courses (MUAP 143.3, MUAP 145.3) in Fall 2026 and Winter 2027.
Teach Organ Studio courses (MUAP 333.3, MUAP 335.3) in Fall 2026 and Winter 2027.
