About The Position

This role involves teaching Experimental Design and Theory (PSY309H5 F). The course will cover how to interpret and critically evaluate psychological research, including the strengths and limitations of different research designs. Students will learn to propose new research, encompassing literature review, hypothesis formulation, anticipated results, and pre-specified analysis planning. A key component will be practicing the presentation of work in a virtual conference setting.

Requirements

  • Ph.D degree or be in the final stages of a PhD
  • PSY202H5 (or equivalent)
  • 1.0 credit in PSY at the 200 level

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and delivery of course content
  • Creation of course material
  • Development and administration of assignments, tests and examinations
  • Supervision of teaching assistants for leading tutorials and grading and marking student work
  • Submission of final grades to appropriate University officials in accordance with policy
  • Maintenance of reasonable hours for student contact outside of scheduled contact hours
