About The Position

This course, MSC1123H F (0.25 FCE), focuses on An Introduction to Categorical Data Analysis. Categorical data, a type of qualitative data that groups observations into categories, is prevalent across scientific disciplines. This course aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform and interpret analyses of categorical data, including contingency tables and logistic regression models. The statistical software R, with the R Studio interface, will be utilized. Both descriptive and inferential statistical methods will be covered. The estimated course enrollment is 25 students, with no estimated TA support. The class schedule is online.

Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD degree in Statistics/Biostatistics or related discipline
  • Solid understanding of generalized linear models, in general, and categorical data analysis, in particular
  • Demonstrated effective teaching experience in a college or university setting
