About The Position

This course provides a rigorous introduction to accounting techniques and to the principles and concepts underlying these techniques. The preparation of financial statements is addressed from the point of view of both preparers and users of financial information. The estimated course enrollment is 60 students.

Requirements

• CPA, CA designation
• Demonstrated teaching excellence
• Currency in and mastery of subject area in financial accounting
• Previous experience in teaching a similar course at undergraduate (university) level or similar environment
• Several years related professional experience

Responsibilities

• All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content
• Development, administration, and marking of assignments, tests, and exams
• Calculation and submission of grades
• Holding regular office hours
• Maintaining reasonable availability for student and administrative contact
• Supervision of T.A. assigned to the course
• Completion of all course grading
• Availability throughout the exam period
