The University of Toronto Faculty of Information is seeking a Sessional Lecturer for the Winter Term of 2027 (January 2027 - April 2027) to teach INF2177H - Information Management and Systems. This course explores various aspects of information architecture, systems architecture, and organizational architecture, including their interrelationships and interactions. It draws examples from diverse systems such as traditional information systems, document management systems, workflow systems, groupware, Internet and intranet systems, enterprise systems, data warehousing, metadata repositories, and intelligent agents. Key issues addressed include managing legacy systems and change, enterprise-wide interoperability, e-commerce, convergence of information content and processing, and support for knowledge management. The course will also cover frameworks and techniques for architectural modeling, analysis, and design. The estimated course enrollment is 70 students, with an estimated 75 hours of TA support if enrollment is 36 or greater. The allocation of TA hours will depend on the final enrollment numbers. The class schedule is to be determined. The lecturer must be located in geographical proximity to the University premises to perform duties on-site.
