About The Position

The Department of English at the University of Toronto Scarborough is seeking a Sessional Lecturer for the Fall 2026 academic session for the course ENGB63H3 Creative Writing: Creative Nonfiction I. This is an emergency posting in accordance with the Collective Agreement between The Governing Council of the University of Toronto and the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 3902 (Unit 3). The course is a focused introduction to the writing of creative non-fiction, enabling students to explore the writing of creative non-fiction through reading, discussion, and workshop sessions. The appointment dates are from September 1 to December 31, 2026, with all normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course included. This includes preparation and delivery of course content, development, administration and marking of assignments, calculation and submission of grades, and holding regular office hours. Any course grading not finished by December 31, 2026, for Fall courses will also be part of the duties.
