The Sessional Instructor provides instruction to students in the B.Ed. Program at Ontario Tech University. The primary responsibility of the applicant is to teach a theoretically and practically grounded university level course within the parameters of the course description. The instructor will deliver the course using a variety of inclusive teaching, learning, and assessment strategies. The instructor will facilitate meaningful connections between theory and practice by preparing teacher candidates for leadership roles beyond the classroom, including coaching, mentoring, and teacher-facilitated co-curricular activities. Responsibilities include preparing, delivering, and assessing all course materials and assignments, providing timely and constructive feedback, supporting students throughout their required field experience, and being available for consultation during and following the completion of the course. This position falls within the bargaining unit represented by the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) and will be subject to the terms and conditions of the collective agreement between the University and PSAC. Candidates will be required to certify that they are currently legally eligible to work in Canada for the duration of the contract.
