About The Position

We're looking for a ServiceNow Technical Architect to own the strategic design and enterprise-wide implementation of our ServiceNow platform. This isn't a maintenance role. You'll set the architectural standards, enforce best practices across every module, and translate clinical and business requirements into platform solutions that directly support the care we deliver to kids across Texas.

Requirements

  • 5 years of direct experience in enterprise-level platform development and architecture, with a proven track record of leading full-scale implementations.
  • Ability to communicate architectural decisions to technical teams and executive leadership alike.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of enterprise-level ServiceNow development and architecture preferred.
  • Proven track record leading full-scale ServiceNow implementations preferred.
  • Hands-on expertise with ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, or CSM modules preferred.
  • Deep fluency in GlideScript/JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, and platform security (ACLs, SSO/SAML, encryption) preferred.
  • Healthcare IT or regulated clinical environment experience strongly preferred.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
  • ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA)

Responsibilities

  • Design the end-to-end technical structure of our ServiceNow environment: data schema, environment strategy, application hierarchy. Build frameworks that scale across diverse business units and hold up in a 24/7 clinical operation.
  • Architect and implement complex integrations via REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and specialized connectors. Synchronize ServiceNow with our EHR, HR systems, and infrastructure monitoring tools. Data fidelity across healthcare systems is non-negotiable.
  • Lead developers and administrators through rigorous code reviews, ATF testing, and QA validation. You set the bar for what ships to production.
  • Establish global development standards: scripting conventions, update set protocols, release governance. Conduct regular audits to minimize technical debt and keep every customization aligned with the upgrade roadmap.
  • Architect ACLs, encryption at rest, and identity management controls. You own our HIPAA compliance posture on the platform and the protection of pediatric patient health information (PHI).
  • Build automated workflows and logic-based triggers using Flow Designer and Business Rules. Reduce MTTR, eliminate manual process friction, and improve service delivery for both clinical and administrative teams.
