About The Position

Guidehouse is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to join their team. This role involves translating complex business requirements into technical designs and solutions using ServiceNow. The developer will lead the development of ServiceNow applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices, and provide technical expertise to other developers. Responsibilities include developing, configuring, and enhancing ServiceNow applications, staying current with ServiceNow products and industry trends, conducting technical assessments, and supporting platform upgrades. The role also requires debugging technical problems, developing documentation, demonstrating applications, and ensuring the security, scalability, and maintainability of ServiceNow solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science, Information Technology or Business is preferred)
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
  • Minimum of FOUR (4) years of experience.
  • Ability to commute to client or corporate offices within the Washington, DC metropolitan area 2-3 days per week.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred.
  • Experience with Software Development Lifecycle methodologies, deliverables, and controls.
  • Expertise in ServiceNow Modules such as HRSD and ITSM, as well as with App Engine and Scoped Apps.
  • Experience with web services integration, specifically Mid-Server, SOAP, and REST, preferred.
  • Strong experience with scripting (JavaScript, Glide, AngularJS), Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.
  • Experience with ServiceNow automated testing framework (ATF).
  • Agile, SCRUM or SAFe certifications.
  • General understanding of financial management aspects (i.e., financial operations, financial innovation, internal control, risk management, etc.), particularly in a federal environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of ServiceNow applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to other ServiceNow developers.
  • Develop, configure, and enhance ServiceNow applications.
  • Stay current with ServiceNow products, features, and industry trends to drive innovation.
  • Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for improving existing ServiceNow implementations.
  • Conduct reviews of functionality developed by ServiceNow development team and perform unit, system, and integration testing.
  • Debug and fix technical problems.
  • Support the development of detailed technical and functional documentation.
  • Provide demonstrations of developed applications to product owners and end users.
  • Participate in platform upgrade activities, including regression testing and reconfiguration.
  • Ensure the security, scalability, and maintainability of ServiceNow solutions.
