Seamless Migration is seeking a career and customer-oriented Senior ServiceNow Software Development Engineer, to join our team in Chantilly, VA. This role serves as a senior-level technical engineer responsible for the hands-on development and deployment of enterprise-grade ServiceNow solutions, specifically engineering all aspects of the Integrated Risk Management (IRM) and Security Operations (SecOps) suites. The developer will work in alignment with the Solution Architect and Lead Engineer to translate functional requirements into robust code and high-performance automated workflows. Key responsibilities include the technical configuration and development of ServiceNow Security Incident Response (SIR), Vulnerability Response (VR), and Configuration Compliance (CC) modules, building complex, event-driven automation using Flow Designer and Integration Hub, and engineering production-ready integrations with external security tools. The role also involves executing technical requirements for the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) by designing automated workflows, developing and optimizing server-side and client-side logic using JavaScript, and implementing granular access controls.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI W/ CI Poly (existing clearance required to start)
  • A minimum of 5 years of technical experience.
  • Security+ (or equivalent IAT Level II); must be obtained within one month of start if not already held.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Expert proficiency in GlideScripting, JavaScript, and Ajax.
  • Deep understanding of CMDB architecture and its relationship to Asset Management.
  • Experience working on complex ServiceNow projects requiring in-depth evaluation of situations or data.
  • Experience integrating data from at least one enterprise security source (such as SIEMs like Splunk/Sentinel, or scanners like Tenable/Qualys/CrowdStrike) into the ServiceNow platform.

Nice To Haves

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator and Certified Application Developer.
  • Experience implementing at least one major security suite, including SecOps (Security Incident Response, Vulnerability Response, or Configuration Compliance) or IRM/GRC (Policy & Compliance, Risk Management, or CAM).
  • Technical familiarity with the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) or 800-53 controls.
  • Experience with Git-based development, Automated Test Framework (ATF), or Now Assist AI/ML integration.
  • Knowledge of at least one operating system: Linux, Unix, or Windows.
  • Strong technical background in Cloud Architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior-level technical engineer responsible for the hands-on development and deployment of enterprise-grade ServiceNow solutions.
  • Engineer all aspects of the Integrated Risk Management (IRM) and Security Operations (SecOps) suites.
  • Work in alignment with the Solution Architect and Lead Engineer to translate functional requirements into robust code and high-performance automated workflows.
  • Complete the technical configuration and development of ServiceNow Security Incident Response (SIR), Vulnerability Response (VR), and Configuration Compliance (CC) modules.
  • Build complex, event-driven automation using Flow Designer and Integration Hub to optimize security and compliance processes.
  • Engineer production-ready integrations with external security tools such as Splunk, Tenable, and Qualys by leveraging REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and Scripted REST APIs.
  • Execute technical requirements for the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) by designing automated workflows for tasking and control testing within the CAM module.
  • Develop and optimize both server-side and client-side logic using JavaScript, Script Includes, and Business Rules to ensure platform scalability.
  • Implement granular access controls through ACLs and Data Filtration to protect sensitive TS/SCI-level information.
  • Use Automated Test Framework (ATF) to validate development work and ensure solution quality across all environments.
