About The Position
We are seeking a ServiceNow Developer to support SWRMC at Naval Base San Diego. The mission is to migrate legacy systems (Oracle APEX) to ServiceNow, expand ITSM capabilities, and build custom applications on the App Engine. This role includes hands-on development and structured knowledge transfer to government personnel.
Requirements
- 5+ years IT experience with 3+ years ServiceNow development
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance required
- ServiceNow CSA and CAD certifications (Day 1)
- ServiceNow CIS (ITSM or App Engine) certifications (Within 90 Days)
- Valid IAT-II certification (e.g., Security+ CE)
- JavaScript, HTML, CSS, REST/SOAP, SSO, LDAP, SAML

- Past performance in U.S. Navy cloud environments
Responsibilities
- Lead migration of legacy web portal applications (Oracle APEX) to ServiceNow with zero operational disruption
- Perform hands-on development using Flow Designer, REST/SOAP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Mid-Servers
- Build custom applications on ServiceNow App Engine
- Configure core ITSM modules and custom workflows
- Design and implement RBAC and field-level security for PII protection
- Integrate with Navy IAM protocols (CAC, MFA)
- Guide and train government system administrators through hands-on knowledge transfer
- Lead agile Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, retrospectives)
- Report progress per Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) schedule
