Our work depends on a ServiceNow Developer Senior joining our team to support integration and development improves to our ServiceNow platform, including broadening its impact through module expansion, platform integration, and automation. The ServiceNow Developer Senior will be an important part of the configuration, development, support, and maintenance of our ServiceNow implementation; they will also work with external development partners and key stakeholders to develop enterprise business solutions for our customers that leverage ITIL processes and best practices. Requirements

  • Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree Required
  • 3+ year(s) of related experience
  • Proficiency developing and deploying integrations with ServiceNow and external systems
  • Experience installing and configuring MID Server environments
  • Experience configuring and optimizing ServiceNow SAM Pro, software licensing models, and software entitlements
  • Experience designing and building Service Catalog items and functionality
  • Strong programming proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, and web services (REST/SOAP)
  • Solid understanding of CMDB and ITIL processes
  • Strong understanding of SDLC best practices and experience gathering requirements within an Agile/Scrum framework
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to explain and present complex concepts to a diverse audience with varying levels of technical knowledge
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail; a high bar for quality results.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in parallel with an awareness for evolving prioritization.
  • Must be able to obtain Public Trust to start

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST and SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and scripted web services
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot MID Server environments to ensure secure, reliable data flow and connectivity between the ServiceNow platform and on-premise infrastructure
  • Manage data imports, transform maps, and scheduled jobs to ensure seamless data synchronization
  • Lead the configuration, enhancement, and administration of the ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM Pro) module
  • Configure SAM features including software normalization, reconciliation, license compliance tracking, and publisher packs
  • Integrate discovery tools with ServiceNow and use this data for accurate software license reconciliation and asset lifecycle management
  • Design and build user-friendly Service Catalog items, Catalog APIs, Order Guides, and Record Producers to expand self-service capabilities
  • Leverage Flow Designer, workflows, and UI components (e.g., Service Portal / Employee Center) to build automated fulfillment processes
  • Partners with technical stakeholders, architects, and product owners to shape solution design and platform governance
  • Interacts with platform customers and translates their business requirements into actionable development tasks
  • Reliably estimates relative work effort for various requests for self/team to enable prioritization
  • Prepares and executes unit test cases and test scripts; supports user acceptance testing
  • Proactively stays on top of new capabilities in the platform and educates team members and customers on innovations in functionality
