Surveys, checks and optimizes product concepts regarding all aspects of their serviceability, maintainability and reliability, for a specific group of products or systems. This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As an Ultrasound Serviceability Engineer: You will be responsible for the Service Engineering of Ultrasound products. This includes managing service projects and developing Product Service Concept and Plans. Work hands-on with Ultrasound systems and hardware evaluating serviceability, troubleshooting issues, validating service requirements, and supporting product development activities. Provide input to Engineering on new products early in the new product introduction cycle to improve serviceability and diagnostic functions. Define serviceability and value-added service requirements and support their implementation within the Project team. Evaluate the product service lifecycle, test and validate service requirements and functions, create technical documentation, and provide technical training when required. Expected to become the Service expert for your products and perform Service Engineering processes. Collaborate with the entire Customer Service team and cross-functional members which include Product and Sustaining Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Project and Product management, and business partners.

Requirements

  • Technical knowledge of Ultrasound technologies and capabilities.
  • Identify and assess risks and develop suitable strategies for risk mitigation.
  • The analytical ability to effectively troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including Engineering.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Lead service projects and provide guidance within a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience in medical devices and customer service
  • Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in medical devices and/or customer services relevant roles.
  • Excellent PC and Microsoft Office skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Ultrasound System service and repair experience is preferred.
  • Experience with AI, Cloud based computing, and Powershell a plus.
