About The Position
At PSS Cross Country Infrastructure Solutions, every team member plays a critical role in delivering the products, equipment, and expertise that keep America’s infrastructure projects moving forward. The Service Writer will be someone that has experience in a service, manufacturing, or rental based system coordination, entry or processing. Very strong level of detail is required and prior use with a manufacturing, rental based or service based ERP preferred, this role will be working in Infor Cloudsuite Distribution.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong math and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and follow procedures
- Familiar with standard warehouse practices
- Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
- Clear verbal and written communication
- Comfortable standing for extended periods
- Basic computer skills
- Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening, where permitted by law.
Nice To Haves
- Prior use with a manufacturing, rental based or service based ERP preferred
- This role will be working in Infor Cloudsuite Distribution.
Responsibilities
- Convert Work Orders to customer facing Sales orders with details outlined and work itemized by taking job tickets or work orders from mechanics and either generating an order to a client or creating an internal order to cost the service work and parts to equipment.
- Write internal PO’s for equipment repairs.
- Create sales orders to 3rd Party Repairs, track service/repairs and tie to purchase orders.
- For all part numbers that are non-stock, ensure descriptions match the order acknowledgement from the vendor/invoice including vendor part numbers.
- Confirm that cost matches the corresponding invoice/order acknowledgement from the vendor.
- Ensure purchase orders correspond to vendor parts were purchased from as well as match respective invoices; item code and descriptions must match the invoice as close as possible.
- Support vendor inquiries, providing PO’s, helping with re-rent PO’s.
