About The Position

Triad Truck Equipment, a Bergey’s family-owned business since 1924, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to fill the role of Service Writer. This position is crucial as the key liaison between customers, service technicians, and the production team, ensuring efficient workflow and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for writing accurate service quotations and orders, communicating repair needs, and ensuring timely completion of jobs. Bergey's has over 50 locations and more than 1,800 team members across Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and New Jersey, striving to provide a welcoming, transparent, and forward-thinking environment for its associates and customers.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

Experience in service writing, scheduling, or related roles preferred.
Knowledge of repair or manufacturing processes is a plus.
Previous scheduling experience.

Responsibilities

Interact with customers, document service needs, and prepare detailed service orders.
Communicate job status updates to customers and internal teams.
Schedule and prioritize production work based on capacity, deadlines, and resource availability.
Assign jobs and verify times in DMS.
Coordinate with all departments with job status updates.
Track progress of jobs and adjust schedules as needed to meet delivery dates.
Maintain accurate records of services, job timelines, and customer communications.
File warranty claims with manufacturers.
Receive new chassis deliveries and document.
Answer phone calls, provide price quotes and other information.
Provide a high level of service to both internal and external customers.
Other tasks as assigned.
