About The Position

We are looking for a Full-Time Service Writer & Warranty Administrator to help us in delivering award-winning customer service and creating a unique and memorable experience for our customers. This position will assist the Service Manager in ensuring the success of the Marina at our Meredith, NH location. The Service Writer & Warranty Administrator will report to the Service Manager and assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Service department and ensuring our customers receive prompt, courteous and effective service. In this position, you will be part of a team that specializes in the maintenance, repair, and detailing of most makes and models of boats.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years marine service writer experience, preferred
  • Excellent customer service and phone skills are a must.
  • Must have superior selling skills and knowledge of how to cross-sell products and services.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Marine parts and services knowledge is a must.
  • Experience with Lightspeed EVO, preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Valid Driver’s License, required.

Nice To Haves

  • Boater’s License, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers in a professional manner to gather all the information necessary to create an accurate estimate.
  • Consult and sell services that are applicable to the type of boat and customer’s needs.
  • Provide customers with a schedule of work, updates, and any changes that may occur.
  • Coordinate with customers on transportation of their boat.
  • Communicate with technicians to inform customers of the best remedies to properly repair their vessel.
  • Locate, order, and input parts for customer units based on technicians' notes and diagnosis.
  • Finalize and invoice work orders.
  • Ensure each customer has a positive service experience.
  • Spend quality time building a relationship with the customer.
  • Follow up after work is complete.
  • Work with vendors to process Warranty claims.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
