About The Position

Join CRST's Maintenance Team as a Warranty Administrator. In this role, you'll process manufacturer warranty claims, reconcile vendor payments, and maintain accurate records to ensure timely warranty recovery while supporting the efficiency of our fleet maintenance operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in warranty claims processing, parts administration, or a related administrative/customer service role.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication skills to accurately process claims and communicate professionally with vendors, shop personnel, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to review data and reports to identify trends supporting warranty dollar recovery, using standard office and reporting systems.
  • Work is performed in an office environment. Activities include sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 20 pounds, using standard office equipment, and communicating with colleagues or customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within fleet maintenance, transportation, or dedicated trucking environments.
  • Experience with warranty claims or parts management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Submit claims to vendors following applicable vendor warranty processes, ensuring proper documentation and criteria are met.
  • Review chargeback claims to determine cause and avoid unnecessary rejections.
  • Process vendor payments for warranty repairs and reconcile with vendor statements.
  • Follow up directly with vendors on short-paid amounts and the policy filing process.
  • Contact outside vendors and internal shops to gather repair information needed to file claims.
  • Arrange parts returns to manufacturers, supporting the parts department with scrap identification and disposal.
  • Monitor warranty trends, identify component failures with potential for filing, and stay informed on factory recalls and campaigns to ensure accurate, timely claims processing.
  • Review repair history to identify additional warranty claims.
  • Use available reporting tools to identify trends in component data that may indicate warranty opportunities.
  • Assist in developing a process to audit charged labor time at internal shop locations against recommended SRT times.
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation for warranty claims to support Warranty Audits.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance while performing other duties as assigned to support team and business needs.
