About The Position

KONE, a global leader in elevators, escalators, and automatic building doors, is seeking a Service Training Specialist – Technician Experience. This remote position, located in major cities in the eastern USA, focuses on developing and delivering training for technicians to ensure they meet KONE's safety and quality standards, customer expectations, and productivity targets. The role involves planning and conducting training sessions, collaborating with stakeholders to identify competence development needs, and managing the production of training materials. The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing others, strong technical skills in elevator service/repair, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or 5 years of technical experience in a similar industry.
  • Skillful with elevator service/repair methods and tools.
  • Passion for quality and results.
  • Commitment to promoting a safety culture.

  • Experience in conducting trainings and developing others.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct training sessions for technicians covering new and existing service methods.
  • Collaborate with business and function stakeholders to identify competence development needs.
  • Develop localized training for various target groups.
  • Understand how each technician process works down to the "key stroke required" to do each task.
  • Support competence development surveys, assessments, and other methods to identify needs.
  • Supervise or conduct special training courses designed for selected key groups.
  • Maintain and analyze organization and individual training records to monitor training effectiveness.
  • Stay current on developments and innovations in training and education.
  • Ensure training facilities and events meet KONE expectations.
