About The Position
Nelbud is hiring a Service Technician to maintain and repair commercial kitchen ventilation and control systems. This hands-on field role focuses on electrical work, troubleshooting, and resolving complex system issues. The technician starts the day at the Moonachie shop and travels to job sites throughout the Boston region using a company vehicle. The role offers competitive pay based on experience, ongoing training, and opportunities for growth in the specialized field of life safety and kitchen ventilation services.
Requirements
- Strong electrical background with experience troubleshooting motors and controls in a commercial setting.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose complex issues.
- Ability to work independently in the field.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
- Comfortable working in tight spaces and at heights.
- Willingness to travel within the region.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, or integrated control systems.
- Familiarity with BACnet or similar ventilation/control systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on commercial kitchen exhaust and ventilation systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical components, motors, and control systems.
- Diagnose and repair rooftop ventilation units.
- Work with integrated control systems and make necessary adjustments.
- Deliver high-quality service while representing Nelbud on job sites.
