About The Position
Nelbud is hiring a Service Technician to maintain and repair commercial kitchen ventilation and control systems. The role is a hands-on technical position focused on electrical systems and controls. The technician starts the day at the Moonachie shop and travels to job sites throughout the region using a company vehicle. The position is based in Boston and the surrounding area.
Requirements
- Strong electrical background with experience troubleshooting motors and controls in a commercial setting.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose complex issues.
- Ability to work independently in the field.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
- Comfort working in tight spaces and at heights.
- Willingness to travel within the region.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, or integrated control systems.
- Familiarity with BACnet or similar ventilation/control systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on commercial kitchen exhaust and ventilation systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical components, motors, and control systems.
- Diagnose and repair rooftop ventilation units.
- Work with integrated control systems and make necessary adjustments.
- Deliver high-quality service while representing Nelbud on job sites.
