About The Position

C & B Operations is hiring a Service Technician at its Lake Park, Iowa location. The technician performs diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on customer- and/or dealer-owned agricultural equipment. The role includes documenting work, tracking time and materials, maintaining product knowledge and equipment, promoting service offerings, and following safety procedures. Candidates must be able to complete a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Requirements

Ability to meet the physical demands and duration of exertion generally required for the job, including sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used to repair machinery, engines, and related equipment.
Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Critical-thinking ability and resourcefulness to complete tasks.
Willingness to learn and train in new technologies.
Ability to work overtime to meet customer demands.
Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree or higher in Diesel Technology or a related field.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostics and repairs on agricultural farm equipment.
Participate in required training programs to develop skills and knowledge.
Complete job notes associated with work assignments.
Record all time on a digital timecard and account for materials used.
Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
Keep the work area clean and perform work neatly and orderly.
Maintain the condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
Promote and sell service department offerings, including service work, inspections, and parts, to increase customer safety and satisfaction.
Follow safety procedures and work safely.
Assist with other assigned duties.
