About The Position

C & B Operations is hiring a John Deere Service Tech for its location in Miles City, Montana. The role performs diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on customer- and/or dealer-owned agricultural equipment. The position also supports customer safety and satisfaction by promoting service work, inspections, and parts. Applicants must successfully complete a pre-employment drug test and background check. Requirements

• Ability to meet the physical demands and duration of exertion generally required for the job, including sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used to repair machinery, engines, and related equipment.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Critical-thinking and resourcefulness to complete tasks.
• Willingness to learn and train in new technologies.
• Ability to work overtime to meet customer demands.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree or higher in Diesel Technology or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on agricultural farm equipment.
• Participate in required training programs to develop skills and knowledge.
• Complete job notes required for work assignments.
• Record all work time on a digital timecard and account for materials used.
• Maintain current product knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Keep the work area clean and perform work neatly and orderly.
• Maintain the condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
• Promote and sell service department offerings, including service work, inspections, and parts, to increase customer safety and satisfaction.
• Follow safety procedures and work safely.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
