About The Position

National Powersport Auctions (NPA) is the world's largest powersport auction and remarketing company. As the leading powersports remarketing company in the U.S., NPA serves dealers, OEMs, and lending institutions throughout the nation with a complete range of auction-related services. This role is for a Service Technician who will be responsible for performing all recommended repairs, potentially including overtime. The technician will also be responsible for basic employee responsibilities such as arriving on time, being courteous, using company equipment appropriately, dressing appropriately, keeping the work area clean, and checking in/out with supervisors.

Requirements

  • Must be able to maneuver and operate a 2-wheel motorcycle with expertise.
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to push a rolling 900lb motorcycle with relative ease.
  • Must not be sensitive to chemicals, cleaners, and fuel fumes.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Good working knowledge of computers.
  • Good working knowledge of powersport related vehicles and their mechanical operation.
  • Ability to follow vehicle safety protocols.
  • Ability to report misuse of company tools and equipment.
  • Ability to report violations of company and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Performing all recommended repairs.
  • Working overtime as required.
  • Arriving to work on time per the required work schedule.
  • Being courteous and respectful to fellow employees and customers.
  • Using company equipment for company purposes only.
  • Operating company vehicles safely and within their intended purpose.
  • Dressing appropriately for job duties and within the parameters of the employee manual.
  • Picking up after oneself and keeping the work area neat and clean.
  • Asking questions if unsure.
  • Checking in and out with direct supervisors at the beginning and end of the daily shift.
  • Having a good working knowledge of computers.
  • Having a good working knowledge of powersport related vehicles and their mechanical operation.
  • Reviewing units for repairs and making recommendations per established Recon Policies.
  • Closing out 4 billable hours per day per person.
  • Diagnosing issues and giving recommendations per established Recon Policies.
  • Maintaining parts and chemical inventories on request.
  • Maintaining part cage organization.
  • Locating and staging units for techs.
  • Locating and staging recalls for local HD dealer to complete.
  • Detailing recommendations in service/repair order within AMS established Recon Policies.
  • Maneuvering and operating a 2-wheel motorcycle with expertise.
  • Following vehicle safety protocols.
  • Being responsible for all company equipment and tools associated with recon and service.
  • Reporting any misuse of company tools and equipment.
  • Reporting any violations of company and safety guidelines.
  • Changing batteries as necessary.
  • Helping unload/load vehicles as needed.
