About The Position

WASH Pros is hiring a Service Technician to provide mechanical repairs to washers and dryers at customer locations within an assigned region. The role helps keep machines operating smoothly, meet customer expectations, and address recurring service needs. The ideal candidate is mechanically adept, enjoys field work, and can work independently. The technician tests and repairs malfunctioning machines using test equipment, examines appliances during operating cycles, diagnoses mechanical and electrical issues, replaces and adjusts components, and maintains replacement-parts stocks. The role also involves driving and maintaining a company vehicle and communicating with apartment managers, customers, and dispatch. WASH offers training and advancement opportunities.

Requirements

Good driving record.
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
Effective English communication skills, both oral and written.
At least 2 years of mechanical experience and electrical knowledge and/or training.
Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and occasionally move 200 pounds or more with a dolly or hand truck.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish.
Prior washer/dryer repair experience.

Responsibilities

Perform field service to test and repair malfunctioning washers and dryers.
Use test equipment to determine the condition of machines.
Examine machines during operating cycles for excess vibration, overheating, fluid leaks, and loose parts.
Disassemble machines and examine mechanical and electrical parts.
Replace worn or defective parts, including switches, pumps, bearings, transmissions, belts, gears, blowers, and defective wiring.
Replace and adjust motors.
Reassemble appliances, adjust pulleys, and lubricate moving parts.
Advise the dispatch department of equipment in the field that should be replaced.
Drive a company vehicle to and from work locations.
Maintain company vehicle fluid levels and tire pressure, and keep the vehicle clean.
Maintain stocks of replacement parts for servicing coin-operated washers and dryers.
Contact apartment managers and customers to ensure good customer relations.
